Toll bill referrals underway; check & pay unpaid tolls.

When driving a Maryland toll road without a valid E-ZPass or Pay-By-Plate account, customers will receive a Video Toll.*

If a Video Toll transaction(s) is not paid in full by the due date on the notice, a toll violation is incurred, and a citation is issued for each unpaid Video Toll transaction. A $25 civil penalty is assessed for each citation. Failure to pay or to contest the toll violation can lead to suspension of or refusal to renew your vehicle registration and/or referral to the Maryland Central Collection Unit.

Referral of toll bills for vehicle registration flagging and non-renewal is underway. Drivers can check for unpaid tolls and pay their outstanding toll debt by visiting https://csc.driveezmd.com/pay-tolls-now

Are you an E-ZPass customer? The most common reason an E-ZPass customer receives Video Tolls is insufficient funds on their E-ZPass account. Since Video Tolls are recorded to the registered vehicle owner and are separate from E-ZPass accounts, replenishing E-ZPass account funds will not pay for outstanding Video Tolls.

If you believe you received or paid a toll charge and/or civil penalty in error, please call 1-888-321-6824 between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, and a representative will review on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility for reimbursement.
